Seniors and web surfing

AARP reports that more seniors are surfing the web. The percentage of adults fifty and older who use the internet increased to 54% in 2006 from 19% in 1998. Use of the internet among the fifty to sixty four year olds rose to 68% from 31% during the same time period. The biggest increase was for those aged sixty five to seventy four which increased to 52%. For those aged seventy five and older numbers rose to 24% from 4% in 1998.
